Anna Shavit is a political scientist, lecturer and researcher at the Department of Marketing Communication under the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University in Prague. Her area of expertise includes issues of political and election marketing in the Czech Republic and worldwide. Shavit has also authored a number of books and essays on the subject. Additionally, she pursues the development of election campaigns, government communication, and public affairs. Thanks to the Fulbright Program, Shavit has participated in the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP) at Columbia University, New York. Shavit has also been a volunteer for Hillary Clinton’s election campaign and took part in Tony Hall’s campaign for Mayor in San Francisco. During the first direct presidential election in the Czech Republic, Shavit worked as Karel Schwarzenberg’s Chief Campaign Strategist and, in 2013, Shavit worked as one of ANO’s election campaign Political Advisors. Shavit has a wealth of experience in political consulting and media training which she acquired in Egypt, Turkey, Serbia, Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
