Petr Pavel

General Petr Pavel, former Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army and former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. He holds many Czech and international military awards for his service. After retiring from the army in 2018, he became a public figure, giving lectures and taking part in public debates. In reaction to the COVID-19, he set-up a financial collection “Spolu silnější“ (Stronger Together) in the spring of 2020 to help people affected by the pandemic. He also organized an initiative analysing the state crisis management and publicly presented its final recommendations in September 2020.
